How does the AquaTopper work?
The Aquatopper is the ultimate product to ensure your water level in your garden pond is always maintained at the correct level. The product is app driven given you full control and notifications when the system is topping up.
When the level of your pond drops to the customised level, the sensor sends a signal via the gateway to the tap valve to open. When the level raises to the required level again a signal is sent to switch off the hose. Simple as that….but with some very impressive technology behind it!
WHAT MAKES UP THE AQUATOPPER?
There are 3 components that make up the system
STEP 1
LEVEL SENSOR
The level sensor is located in your garden pond. Some ponds have a suitable place a position it, alternatively it can be placed in a 4″ pipe in a corner of the pond.
This level sensor is battery operated with a 5 year lifetime guarantee
STEP 2
TAP VALVE
The tap valve is connected to your garden tap. Using the push fit connections you then connected your hosepipe to the valve and run this to the edge of your gardeb pond.
This tap valve is also battery operated with a 5 year lifetime guarantee
STEP 3
LORA GATEWAY
The gateway is attached to your home wifi and communicates with the two products.
Using the latest wireless technology ( LoRA ) which is a long range, low power wireless platform gives you a 500m range. This means that your pond does not need to be within your wifi radius to work.

The AquaTopper App is available on IOS and Android. You register your device(s), set your levels and receive notifications when the AquaTopper is activated.

I am a garden specialist, how does this benefit me?
If one of your customers has a garden pond and you are responsible for it you can manage the water level from the comfort of your armchair. One of the benefits is if you need to reduce the level of the pond for quarterly maintenance to improve water quality when it needs topping up you can leave it running rather than hanging around
I live in my property, how does this benefit me?
We have all done it more than once…..left the tap running whilst filling up the garden pond! Using the Aquatopper means that you will never have to worry during those summer months about topping up the pond, just make sure the hosepipe is pointing into the pond and the Aquatopper will ensure that you don’t have to worry about this job again.
Can I have more than one device on my account?
Yes you can so if you have several customers spread over a large area or have several ponds in your garden they can all be on one account.
Will I be notified when the hose pipe starts running
Yes you will receive a notification via your app when it starts and stops.
What happens if there is a power cut whilst the pond is filling?
If the tap valve does not receive communication from the gateway within 15 minutes it will automatically close so you will not be in a situation where the pond keeps filling up.
What happens if I lose wifi whilst my pond is filling?
If the tap valve does not receive communication from the gateway within 15 minutes it will automatically close so you will not be in a situation where the pond keeps filling up.
Do I have to have the hosepipe running towards the pond all of the time?
Yes you do unless you have an underground pipe that is already in situ. There is normally always an area around the pond that you do not commonly use where you can position the hosepipe so it is not in the way.
How long do the batteries last?
The batteries will last for at least 5 years. Both devices only send and receive signals once every 15 minutes meaning that the battery life is extended. The batteries can be changed in the future.
Can I use this on my holiday home even though I am not there much?
Yes you can use it from anywhere in the world via the app on your phone. Better still if you are overseas and you keep getting notifications that the device is active this could be a warning that you have a leak and could save you a lot of money replacing the water and get someone to have a look before you arrive at your holiday home.
Can I switch off the device remotely or put it in manual mode?
Yes you can. Using the app you can change the settings and levels anytime. You can also put it into manual mode if you want to top up the pond a little more or stop it altogether.
I do not have wifi coverage at my pond, can I still use the AquaTopper?
Yes you can, the only thing that has to be within your wifi coverage is the gateway. The two devices use LoRA which is a long distance low power signal. The devices can be up to 500m away.
